It’s hard to see the beading because my camera on my phone is just so shitty. But I have most of the front beaded. I’m waiting until I’m done to do the gold beading around the edges. And then it’s on to beading the other details, yay.

My baby, whose big head is just too heavy to hold up all the time. Missing both her and my Jack Russell.
Oh, and also my ugly face.

And so begins the beading process. Two hours a piece, and they’re still not completely finished.

How wonderful life is while you’re in the world”

The beginnings of Princess Serenity. The basic dress is half done, and I’ve also started on her circles, but I still need to hem everything. Then I’m planning on taking a few artistic liberties and hand beading the details on the top with pearls and glass beads. Hopefully it’ll turn out really pretty. But we’ll have to see.

This looks great so far.  So I was wondering if you didn’t mind answering whether or not you used a specific pattern for the dress.  I’m planning on working on my own Serenity cosplay, but I’m not sure which pattern I want to see about using yet.

Hey, thank youI had to make some minor alterations to the one I ended up choosing, but my favorite ones from simplicity were 2398, 2582, and 1659. I went with 2398, and altered it to have a train, left out a few other details and had to have a major fitting session with the top. Joann’s was having a sale on simplicity, so that was why I went with that one, but I think I like the way it turned out.
